The three-day mourning period for the tribute and last salute to the body of Mikis Theodorakis is concluded today with the presence of the President of the Republic, political leaders, people of spirit and personalities of the struggles and the left. It is worth saying, however, that for three days thousands of people have tried – some succeeding and some not – to approach the body of the greatest composer, which now lies calm and silent, receiving a multitude of emotions and flowers. There was no lack of spontaneous moments of singing lyrics and music that will be deeply engraved in the memory of the Greek people and the world for many years to come.
